We are looking for a Systems Engineer for a production space program. The Systems Engineer ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. This person performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

This is a contingent labor position for a Gentry client. You will work onsite at the client facility in Linthicum, Maryland. 

Requirements

• Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals and other technical documentation.
• Apply systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
• Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of complex systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 9 years of related experience, or a master's degree and 7 years of related experience, or 4 years of experience with a PhD.
• Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and relative methodologies
• Strong understanding of Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
• General understanding of Requirements elicitation and generation.
• General understanding of Architecture, Interface Definition, and Design.
• US Citizen
