Gentle Compass Counseling Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Aurora, CO · Full time Company website

We are looking for a Children & Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with children and families to join our team. This role requires strong therapeutic skills, independent work loads, ability to collaborate, and experience working with trauma and young children. The ideal candidate will value independent work, while also being open to consultation with other therapists, engage in appropriate work behaviors and attire, and someone who is self motivated to learn and grow personally and professionally.

Description

At Gentle Compass Counseling, we are building a business designed to empower and support therapists. Established in 2023, we are looking to hire our 3rd therapist. We believe that when therapists are supported, compensated well, and in control of their caseload, clients, and scheduling they provide better care to their clients. We don’t take insurance, have no caseload minimums or maximums, and allow therapists to set their own scheduling and availability. Sounds too good to be true? There are some tradeoffs detailed in the business model section below.

Our Business Model

Employees are hourly employees, not salaried. You have no guaranteed pay, so it’s somewhat similar to contract work. However, we will provide a full benefits package (see Benefits) if you average 15 sessions per week through us, want to work fewer? We will negotiate a custom benefits package with you to match our cost to your workload. Unlike contract work, you will be paid (at a lower rate) for your admin time, think notes, trainings, meetings, initial consults, etc. You will be eligible for Colorado FAMLI+ leave, you’ll be a W2 so you don’t have to figure out taxes, and if you take on extra clients you will make more money.

This business model allows you to work as much or as little as you want while receiving benefits like a 401k, health insurance, sick leave, and more if you work full time hours without being required to deal with client insurance headaches, 25+ sessions/week caseloads, or other corporate BS. Want to increase your income? We’ll help you find another client, want to decrease your caseload? We’ll support you. Going on family leave and changing your schedule after? Our business model makes that easy by sharing the rewards, and cost of changes. We think you’ll find it like running your own practice but without the headaches of billing, marketing, admin work, and figuring out benefits. You get to focus on being an amazing therapist while enjoying a fantastic level of work life balance that’s often difficult to find as a therapist.
