Responsible for communicating priorities, safely making assemblies at or above established production standards, meeting customer quality expectations, and cross training employees.

· Ensures safe work environment and practices.
· Abides by 5S and Lean Manufacturing in the Assembly department.
· Monitors team’s product quality and directs adjustments as necessary.
· Support training and development of assembly personnel.
· Support developing work instructions and storyboards for assemblies.
· Support making sure Standard production rates are accurate.
· Completes periodic inspections of quality for team members’ work.
· Ensures team stays on task and communicates with manager when a team member finish job for next assignment and or assign looking at backlog of department and needs.
· Ensures rejected materials are labeled and processed correctly.
· Make sure all 5S tools are in place and accounted for.
· Reads the Job Traveler and understands requirements.
· Verifies assembled prints match prints.
· Logs into all jobs you are assigned to.
· Uses the right part labels.
· Packages parts properly.
· Assembles at or above established standard.
· Labels gaylords properly.
· Ensures all consumable production supplies are replenished to acceptable visual standard.
· Counts parts accurately.
· Ensures all paperwork is complete, accurate, and turned in at the end of the shift.
· Ensures information is entered into ERP system accurately.
· Ensures area is clean and organized.
· Drives continual improvement.
· Identifies and understands correct hand tool use.
· Other tasks as assigned by management.

Education / Experience
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Assembly skills are a plus.
· Quality Control (QC) experience helpful.
Language Skills
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, purchase orders, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
· Ability to gather information and share either verbally or in writing.
· Able to communicate effectively with other employees, office personnel and management.
Mathematical & Reasoning Skills
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Able to practical problem solve and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and communicate to supervisor if unable to solve.
· Able to interpret a variety of specifications and information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
