Gather and Grow Therapy Services specializes in servicing people with Autism and related neurodiversity across the age span. This position is for our high school transition and adult program, Inclusion on Purpose. We are seeking a creative and passionate individual to support our mission of creating a more inclusive community for the people we serve. As an Employment Specialist, your role would be to provide job development, counseling, and coaching to people with autism spectrum and related neurodivergence. Additional responsibilities include outreach and relationship building with area businesses to advocate for competitive, integrated employment. Position services Boulder, Broomfield, West Adams and North Jefferson Counties. Service radius is a maximum of 30 min from our office in Lafayette. Minimum 1 year disabilities services or related experience required.

Description

Employment Support -  working with company clients to develop both traditional and nontraditional employment. Supporting company clients through job coaching once employment is established.


Job Development - assistance in completing job applications and arranging for interviews, on-site job analysis, on-site consultation with the employer, recommendations for work-site modifications, and/or orientation to the workplace, as appropriate to an individual’s needs. Training to teach individuals how to conduct job searches, how to prepare resumes and complete applications, and how to interview effectively.


Job Coaching - including job skill training at their work site, work site orientation, monitoring of the individual at the job site to assess stability and coordination/provision of services at or away from the job site to maintain employment stability. This includes job retention counseling.


Community Outreach- building and maintaining strategic relationships with local employers, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, and complementary organizations. Representing the mission and values of the company in the community


Communication- proactively communicating with company director and teammates as well as outside case managers and counselors with DVR, Imagine!, and other CCBs


Documentation - daily notes to be completed for each participant across service categories to document services provided by the end of the week in which services were provided. Developing monthly reports as determined by the client's employment, service, or life skills training plan 

Community-Based Services- provide services in the clients home and community as determined by their employment, service, or life skills training plan

Salary

$18 - $20 per hour
