Primary Responsibilities
- Assist the physician and nursing staff during endoscopic procedures
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies prior to each case
- Maintain procedural flow and assist with room turnover
- Perform endoscope handling, cleaning, and disinfection processes
- Complete manual cleaning steps, including leak testing and proper scope transport
- Operate automated endoscope reprocessors (AER) as trained
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of scope usage and reprocessing
- Stock supplies and maintain inventory
Clinical Expectations
- Demonstrates attention to detail in equipment handling and reprocessing
- Maintains awareness of procedural flow and prioritizes tasks accordingly
- Communicates effectively with the clinical team to support patient care
- Contributes to a coordinated, team-based approach to procedures
Additional Responsibilities
- Support general clinical and operational needs of the center
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of procedure and reprocessing areas
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent – Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required
- Highly prefer previous endoscopy experience
