Responsibilities
New Employee Hiring & Onboarding
- Partner with the Dir. of People & Finance Ops to support core hiring & onboarding processes
- Post job descriptions and applications and coordinate distribution and advertising
- Manage candidate communications, interview scheduling, and support initial screening
- Support hiring teams with applicant tracking, interview logistics, and resources
- Organize and coordinate new employee onboarding tasks and deadlines
- Contribute to a positive, thoughtful experience for applicants and new employees
Employee Experience
- Serve as a second point of contact for basic HR-related questions, in addition to the Dir. of People & Finance Ops
- Assist with communication around benefits administration, policy updates, and compliance
- Manage internal employee feedback form responses
- Partner with company leadership to organize and implement employee recognition programs
- Coordinate catered lunches, snacks, etc. for all-team meetings and other special events
- Support with the annual staff party, social club events, and team relationship building
Office & Operational Support
- Maintain physical office inventory & supplies, serve as point of contact for staff needs, and collect & organize receipts
- Collaborate with the team to keep shared spaces organized, clutter free, and comfortable
- Coordinate with external cleaning and IT service providers
- Coordinate with landlords regarding basic facilities maintenance and needs
- Support the Dir. of People & Finance Ops in distributing all-team information and notices
- Opportunities to contribute to cross-functional projects and tasks in the event of company growth
Qualifications
Required
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and work proactively with light guidance
- Comfort with versatility and adapting to changing needs
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external partners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace apps
- Discretion in handling confidential personnel and financial information
- Skilled at learning new concepts and processes
- Ability to stand, walk, and move about in an office setting

- Demonstrated passion for the outdoors
- Experience in a small business setting
- Familiarity with general HR compliance
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll platforms such as Gusto
- Prior experience in an HR, people operations, or office management role
- Experience creating and implementing clear processes and resources
Compensation, Benefits, and Scheduling
- $23.50/hour, paid electronically every other Friday
- Accrue paid time off at the rate of .08 hours per 1 hour worked
