Key Responsibilities:

  • Garage Door Installation: Install a variety of residential and commercial garage doors and openers, ensuring each job is completed with attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Repairs & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair malfunctioning garage doors, openers, and mechanical components like springs, tracks, and motors, ensuring all repairs meet our high standards for safety and performance.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance to keep garage doors and openers running smoothly, preventing future issues and providing customers with long-term solutions.
  • Customer Experience: Drive our brand forward by ensuring every customer receives a positive, seamless experience from start to finish. Address customer concerns, explain service details, and offer personalized recommendations.
  • Uphold Goldfinch Values: Represent Goldfinch with integrity, ensuring that all services and installations reflect our commitment to quality, safety, and excellent customer care. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, vehicle and appearance.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols during installations, repairs, and maintenance work to protect both customers and team members. Adhere to industry-specific safety standards (OSHA).
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate service records, documenting parts used, work completed, and time spent on each job. Keep customer records up to date to facilitate future service needs.
  • Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that Goldfinch vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained, organized, and ready for daily use.
  • Collaboration: Work with other technicians and the service team to ensure timely, effective service delivery and ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in garage door installation, service, or a related field (training available for candidates with limited experience).
  • Strong knowledge of garage door systems, including mechanical, electrical, and automated components.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair garage door systems efficiently.
  • Ability to lift and manage heavy components (up to 75 lbs), physical stamina to climb ladders, and perform manual labor in various weather conditions. 
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
  • Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while adhering to schedules and Goldfinch standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with garage door openers, smart home integrations, and automated systems.
  • Certification in garage door systems or a related mechanical field.
  • Previous experience working in both residential and commercial environments.
