About the Role
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, content creation, and event coordination within a high-end, customer-focused environment. The selected candidate will play an active role in the day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives and the planning and delivery of events that enhance the Garage 42 member experience. This is an in-person, immersive role — ideal for a student who thrives in dynamic environments and is eager to build a real-world portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Marketing & Content Creation
- Support the creation of digital and print marketing content, including photography, video, and written materials
- Execute daily social media activity across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn — including feed posts, stories, and real-time content capture
- Draft marketing communications, including social media captions, blog content, and email campaigns
- Contribute to website updates and content development to ensure alignment with brand standards
- Support promotional efforts for summer events and initiatives, including content development and audience outreach
- On-Site Content & Facility Presence
- Maintain a consistent, active presence within the Garage 42 facility to capture authentic, timely content — including member moments, vehicle features, and day-to-day atmosphere
- Serve as a real-time social storytelling resource that reflects the energy and culture of the space throughout the summer
- Event Support & Coordination
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of Garage 42 summer events
- Provide hands-on support during events, including setup and breakdown, vendor coordination, logistics management, and live content capture
- Support the development of standardized event planning processes and materials
- Member Experience
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance member engagement and overall summer experience
- Engage professionally and warmly with members and guests on-site, representing the Garage 42 brand with polish in a high-end, member-facing environment
- Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Photography, or a related field (rising junior or senior preferred)
- Available for a full summer co-op/internship commitment, with availability for evening and weekend events as needed
- Demonstrated interest in automotive culture and/or luxury customer experiences
- Strong written and visual communication skills, with an eye for elevated, brand-consistent content
- Hands-on experience managing social media platforms, including daily posting, stories, and real-time content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Experience with photography, videography, or graphic design
- Proficiency with content editing tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
- Prior involvement in event planning, coordination, or on-site execution
- Comfortable and confident in a member-facing, high-end environment — able to represent the brand with professionalism and warmth
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Work Environment
- Work Setting: On-site at Garage 42 facility, with participation in off-site events as needed
- Travel: Required on occasion for event-related activities
- Hours: Standard business hours with non-standard hours required, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends to support events
- Overtime: May be available and occasionally required
Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods during events
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., event materials, equipment, signage)
- Ability to operate a camera or mobile device for extended periods while capturing photo and video content
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions during events
- Ability to bend, reach, and set up basic event materials as needed
- Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods
