We are seeking an experienced 340B Program Coordinator who will be responsible for the oversight of 340B-related activities for customers of the company. Responsibilities include: program compliance, monthly reporting on relevant performance metrics, maintenance of various Third-Party Administrators software, and collaboration to optimize 340B program. The 340B Program Coordinator assists the 340B Program Operations Manager in oversight of claims auditing, inventory reconciliation, pharmacy dispensing patterns, and maintaining compliance with Federal 340B standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the company’s subject matter expert for the 340B program.
  • Works collaboratively and develops relationships with entities, wholesalers, manufacturers, pharmacies and software vendors.
  • Interfaces with governmental and 340B support agencies as necessary.
  • Actively engages with the 340B Program Operations Manager and Senior leadership to participate in the decision-making related to the implementation and development of the 340B program and regular compliance audits.
  • Develops, modifies and ensures that 340B policies are in accordance with current state, federal and system program requirements.
  • Works in collaboration with the 340B Program Operations Manager to create training and competency materials for all staff and leaders who work with the 340B program.
  • Provides regular education to client’s staff on policies and procedures related to 340B compliance.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the annual HRSA recertification is accurately completed within the allotted time frame.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the HRSA 340B database is accurate for all entities.
  • Responsible for ensuring registration of any new site within the allotted time frame.
  • Performing monthly audits or compliance assessments
  • Lead implementation of new TPAs
  • Review and negotiate pharmacy services agreements
  • Become proficient in accessing, editing, updating the TPA portals
  • Reconcile utilization records and 340B purchasing accounts to ensure that TPA software is working properly and accurately.
  • Responsible for compliance review and operations of clinic-administered medications, outpatient prescriptions fulfilled by an owned pharmacy and outpatient prescriptions fulfilled by a contract 340B pharmacy.
  • Follow through in resolving any audit findings
  • Maintain all required elements for efficient pharmacy operations
  • Establishes appropriate metrics and analyzes them to identify ways to maximize the 340B program to meet the needs of underserved patients.
  • Develops action plans and recommends them to 340B Program Operations Manager, in order to close identified gaps or risk points.
  • Collaborates with 340B Program Operations Manager regarding drug selection, ordering, procurement, and inventory management.
  • Assists in implementing software and adapting business practices based on anticipated regulatory changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience – Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Healthcare related field or 4 years of experience. Three years of experience in a combination of the following areas: compliance with government regulations, auditing, project management and or pharmacy operations. Professional experience, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for a Bachelor degree requirement on a year for year basis. 340B ACE Certification strongly preferred.

Language Ability – Able to read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Able to speak effectively to a diverse audience.

Mathematical Ability - Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability - Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills - Working knowledge and experience with TPA software and Microsoft Office Suites (specifically Excel).

Traveling – Though role is remote, this role may require 25% of traveling and/or virtual meetings

Education:

License/Certification:

  • 340B ACE Certification (Preferred)
