Staff DevOps Engineer 

Role Overview:

Game Plan Tech is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer for our cloud infrastructure and software engineering teams. In this role you will drive architecture and security, scaling cloud computing solutions for our clients in the DoD sector. Additionally, you will scale best practices across diverse client projects, as well as directly impact team effectiveness and client outcomes. 

 

Required Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, designing and managing complex cloud environments, deploying and migration workloads to cloud environments
  • 5 years of relevant Certification and Accreditation experience, evaluating Cybersecurity Controls, and conducting C&A reviews for large-scale information systems
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST C&A, Zero Trust, SCCA FRD, and SRG
  • Experience with automation, hybrid computing, edge computing, and cloud-native microservices, as well as networking or standard Internet of Things (IoT) protocols, as well as expertise particularly in Azure, Google, OCI, and AWS
  • At least one industry Cloud certification(s):
  • AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert,, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Foundations, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Security Professional, Google Cloud Platform Cloud Architect
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in FedRAMP assessment methodology of security and privacy controls deployed in cloud information systems including the domain areas of: 
  • Architectural Concepts & Design Requirements, Cloud Data Security, Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Security, Cloud Application Security, Operations, and Legal & Compliance
  • Possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) 
  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II

 

Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as a subject matter expert with regards to Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management FrameworkRMF) standards and guidance as outlined in the NIST Special Publication(s) (SP) 800-53 and 800-37
  • Identify, manage, and resolve cloud computing security risks, implementing
  • “best practices’ for a cloud environment across all service models and derivatives of such
  • Provides cloud computing expertise to analyze and design cloud hosting requirements in multiple platforms, including Azure, Google, OCI and AWS.
  • Collaborate with DLA technicians and vendors on hosting activities and troubleshoot deployment related issues, providing subject matter expertise on secure cloud

Computing and its related architecture, native services, DISA enterprise cloud offerings, and security architecture that must meet DoD/DISA policies, directives, and guidelines. 


  • Has Cloud Security Requirements Guide knowledge to employ controls including but not limited to network security, tenant isolation, encryptions, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, and Zero Trust (ZT) considerations.
  • Recommends cloud hosting solutions and innovations to streamline business processes, developing deployment specifications/guides to include configurations, test plans, results and relevant cloud hosting documentation to support EH’s operations.
