Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Generative AI (GenAI) Delivery Strategist to spearhead the successful implementation and adoption of cutting-edge GenAI solutions for our clients. This strategic role requires a blend of deep technical understanding of GenAI, proven delivery leadership, and intimate knowledge of the unique challenges and requirements within the public sector landscape. You will be responsible for defining delivery strategies, overseeing project execution, ensuring client success, and driving the responsible integration of GenAI technologies to meet critical public service missions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and articulate comprehensive delivery strategies for GenAI solutions tailored to specific US Public Sector client needs, ensuring alignment with their mission objectives, technical environments, and regulatory constraints.
- Solution Definition: Collaborate closely with clients, sales teams, and technical architects to translate complex requirements into feasible, impactful, and responsible GenAI solutions and implementation roadmaps.
- Delivery Oversight: Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of GenAI projects, from initial pilot and proof-of-concept through to full-scale production deployment and ongoing optimization.
- Public Sector Acumen: Serve as a subject matter expert on navigating public sector procurement cycles, security requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, CMMC, StateRAMP), data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA), and ethical considerations specific to government and education.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with internal engineering, product management, research, legal, and compliance teams, as well as client stakeholders at all levels, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with GenAI implementation in sensitive public sector environments, including technical, operational, ethical, and compliance risks.
- Best Practices & Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in GenAI technology, delivery methodologies, and public sector IT trends. Champion best practices for responsible AI deployment and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and external thought leadership.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as a primary point of contact for delivery strategy and execution.
- Team Mentorship (if applicable): Guide and mentor junior strategists or delivery team members involved in GenAI projects.
- Pre-Sales Support: Contribute expertise to proposal development, solutioning sessions, and client presentations during the pre-sales process.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in technology consulting, technical program management, solutions architecture, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering complex technology projects.
- Minimum of 3+ years of direct experience leading the delivery or implementation of AI/ML or Data Science solutions.
- Demonstrated understanding of Generative AI concepts, techniques, Large Language Models (LLMs), foundation models, and associated platforms/tools.
- Significant experience working directly with US Public Sector clients (Federal agencies, State/Local Government, or Educational institutions).
- Strong understanding of public sector IT environments, procurement processes, and security/compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST standards).
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in complex client engagements.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. [Adjust or remove if not strictly necessary, but common for Public Sector roles].
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct, hands-on experience implementing GenAI solutions in a public sector context.
- Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective AI/ML/GenAI service offerings.
- Familiarity with Responsible AI principles, AI ethics frameworks, and their practical application.
- Experience developing and implementing AI governance structures.
- Active Security Clearance (e.g., Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret) is a strong plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Cloud AI/ML certifications).
