Fusion Advanced Technology, LLC (Fusion) is seeking a motivated and mission-focused professional to support provider payment operations by processing invoices and payment transactions, documenting exceptions, supporting underpayment and overpayment workflows, and performing related data entry and verification activities supporting the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).

Description

Core responsibilities

● Review and process properly submitted invoices and route exceptions for correction.

● Document payment discrepancies and maintain transaction logs.

● Support underpayment calculations, repayment notices, and checkwriter requests as assigned.

● Review provider-submitted documentation for completeness and route items for supervisory review.

● Assist with overpayment and verification workflows, including correspondence and record updates.

● Enter payment-related data accurately and support monthly outcome reporting.


Recommended minimum qualifications

High school diploma required; associate degree preferred. Two or more years of experience in payment processing, claims, accounts payable support, large-volume transaction processing, data validation, or public program payment operations.


Minimum years of experience criteria

● 2+ years total relevant experience

● 1+ year in payment processing, claims, accounts payable support, or high-volume transaction processing

● Direct provider payment, scholarship payment, or public program payment operations experience preferred


Preferred qualifications

● Experience in childcare subsidy, Medicaid, UI, public assistance, or other regulated payment environments.

● Experience reviewing supporting documentation and handling transaction exceptions.

● Strong attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, high-volume system work. 

● Experience with checkwriter or corrective-payment workflows is a plus.
