Description

Core responsibilities

● Review applications and supporting documents for completeness and policy alignment.

● Process redeterminations, interim changes, and other case actions within required timeframes.

● Research customer records across designated systems and document findings clearly.

● Prepare or trigger Missing Information actions and follow up on required documentation.

● Enter and validate case data and case notes in designated systems.

● Support customer inquiries, case corrections, and escalations as assigned.

 

Recommended minimum qualifications

Associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience acceptable. Three or more years of professional or paraprofessional experience in eligibility determination, case processing, public assistance operations, scholarship or grant administration, customer record review, or large-volume administrative processing.


Minimum years of experience criteria

● 3+ years total relevant experience

● 2+ years in eligibility determination, case processing, customer record review, or similar operational work.

● Direct Child Care Scholarship, childcare subsidy, public benefits, or Maryland public program experience preferred.

 

Preferred qualifications

● Experience determining income eligibility for an income-based program.

● Experience using multiple systems to review large volumes of cases and supporting data.

● Experience with Maryland public program systems, CCATS, or comparable statewide systems.

● Ability to interpret policy and communicate case actions clearly in writing.
