Fusion Advanced Technology, LLC (Fusion) is seeking a motivated and mission-focused professional to support document intake, scanning, indexing, quality control, retrieval, and the transition or migration of active and historical records matters supporting the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
Core responsibilities
● Process incoming and outgoing documents, confirm image quality, and apply indexing/metadata rules.
● Support migration of documents and images from incumbent repositories to the operational support environment.
● Perform document quality checks, reconciliation, and exception handling.
● Maintain chain-of-custody discipline for sensitive records and original document return/shredding procedures where needed.
● Support retrieval requests for operations, QA, hearings, and audits.
● Document migration issues and work with technical or operations leads to resolve them.
Recommended minimum qualifications
High school diploma required; associate degree preferred. Three or more years of experience in document management, records handling, imaging, scanning, indexing, quality control, or data migration support.
Minimum years of experience criteria
● 3+ years total relevant experience
● 2+ years in document management, imaging, scanning, indexing, records handling, or migration support.
● Direct OnBase, CCATS-adjacent records work, Maryland public program migration, or high-volume public-sector document operations experience preferred.
Preferred qualifications
● Experience with OnBase or another enterprise document management platform.
● Experience with metadata standards, record retrieval, and document QC.
● Experience with migration, reconciliation, or high-volume file processing.
● Experience in government, healthcare, education, or benefits records environments.
