Fur Baby is a high end, pet resort that offers doggie daycare, overnight boarding for cats and dogs, grooming and Retail that is looking to add professional, positive and creative individuals to its team! We are a growing small business and love to have fun, but also know that our jobs are extremely important in the lives and safety of our customers and pets.


The Customer Service Specialist is a dual position, being responsible for answering phone calls professionally and appropriately, scheduling all services, checking in and checking out guests as well as accepting payments for services. They are also responsible for the retail pet grocery, including all aspects of running a sales floor (solution selling, customer services issues, stocking, etc). Our Specialist is also expected to learn about or have a current knowledge on dog breeds, life stages, behaviors, health as well as diets, foods and nutrition.


Our Concierge should have a basic knowledge of all of our services as to help determine scheduling and answer customer inquiries.

Someone who would thrive in this position would be a master multi-tasker, who can handle multiple projects as well as customers at the same time. Someone who is successful under pressure and can keep a calm and professional demeanor even in stressful situations. You must be comfortable in a loud environment, and with dogs and cats drooling, shedding, jumping and just generally being animals! You must also, above all, have a sincere love for animals in any form or size.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Answering phones and general inquires
  • Scheduling client daycare, boarding and grooming appointments
  • Data Entry with software for all services
  • Preparing paperwork for incoming/outgoing dogs from daycare, boarding and grooming
  • Client check in and check out for all services
  • Contacting clients via email or phone to confirm appointments or update vaccines
  • Filing paperwork
  • Organizing and cleaning of retail store and cash wrap
  • Retail stocking and merchandising
  • Assisting customers with making decisions about food and treats for their dogs
  • Recommending products and add on selling

Qualifications:

  • Excellent phone skills and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • Ability to sit/stand for 8 hours at a time
  • Ability to lift upt to 50 lbs
  • Able to keep a positive work attitude at all times
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self Motivated
  • Knowledge of computers (including data entry, creating documents
