Fundamentals offers programming for youth in need of support due to emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges that occur in school, at home, or in the community.

At Fundamentals, transportation is more than getting from one place to another. For some of our students, a safe and reliable ride can set the tone for their entire day.

As a Student Transportation Driver, you'll be responsible for safely and reliably transporting students to and from school, activities, and community experiences. A Support Staff member will accompany students and provide any necessary student support during transportation, allowing you to focus on what you do best: safe, dependable driving.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport students along assigned routes and schedules
• Follow all applicable traffic, transportation, and student safety requirements
• Maintain a safe and professional driving environment
• Complete required vehicle safety inspections before operation
• Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and ready for use
• Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly
• Communicate transportation concerns or incidents to the appropriate team members
• Follow established procedures in the event of an emergency
• Transport students and staff for field trips, activities, and other events as assigned
• Maintain required transportation records
• Meet scheduled departure and arrival times

You won't be responsible for managing student behavior or providing direct support. A Support Staff member will ride with students and handle their needs during transportation.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is safe, dependable, patient, and comfortable working with youth.

You may be a great fit if you have experience as a:

• Student Transportation Driver
• School Bus Driver
• Transportation Driver
• Van Driver
• Delivery Driver
• Or simply have a strong driving background and enjoy working independently

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Wisconsin Class D driver's license required
• Class A or B CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement preferred
• Strong, safe driving record
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to follow transportation and safety procedures
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe vehicle
• Ability to work independently and responsibly

Schedule

Transportation shifts are typically:

• Afternoon: 2:00 PM–4:00 PM
• Evening: 6:00 PM–8:00 PM

Additional transportation may be available for field trips, activities, and special events.
