Being a line cook at Cordial will either start or continue your growth in a kitchen. You will work with a grill, flat top, range and fryers, so previous cooking experience is a plus! We cross train to ensure there is help whenever someone needs, no one will stick to one specific station. We uphold ourselves and employees to the highest standards for cleanliness and sanitation. Daily cleaning and organizing of the line are required to ensure you and your fellow employees are always stocked and ready for consistent service.
Line Cook Requirements:
- At least 6 months of kitchen experience
- Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment and knife skills
- Practices proper sanitation and food handling procedures
- Has a great attitude and willingness to learn and grow
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers
- Can follow recipe specifications
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
Responsibilities include:
- Follow chef’s instructions, recipes, and prep lists
- Prepare food for service
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Coordinate timing of orders so that items are served together
- Ensure food comes out in a high quality and timely manner
- Cook, plate, and garnish all menu items
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, etc.
- Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators, and other storage areas
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors
