Description

Functional & Integrative Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Part-Time | 15-30 Hours/Week | Devon, PA

About the Position

Full Spectrum Integrative Medicine is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and clinically strong Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our physician-led functional and integrative medicine practice in Devon, Pennsylvania.

This is an opportunity for a clinician who wants to practice medicine differently. Our practice combines strong conventional medicine with functional and integrative medicine, hormone optimization, preventive medicine, healthy aging, regenerative medicine, sexual wellness, IV therapies, and medical aesthetics in a highly personalized, fee-for-service setting.

This is not a high-volume primary care position and not a traditional med spa role. Our clinicians have the time and resources to understand complex patients, educate them thoroughly, develop individualized treatment plans, and build meaningful long-term relationships.

We are looking for someone who wants a long-term clinical home and is interested in continuing to grow both medically and procedurally.

The Role

The clinician will initially focus on:

  • Follow-up care for established functional and integrative medicine patients
  • Hormone replacement therapy and hormone optimization
  • Preventive and healthy aging medicine
  • Medical weight management and metabolic health
  • Procedural and regenerative medicine
  • Medical aesthetics
  • Men's and women's sexual wellness treatments

The clinician will work closely with the Medical Director while learning Full Spectrum Integrative Medicine's clinical philosophy, diagnostic approach, treatment protocols, specialty testing, and patient population.

You will not be expected to independently perform comprehensive functional medicine new-patient evaluations immediately upon joining the practice.

As your familiarity with our approach and patient population grows, the role can expand into independent functional medicine consultations, development of treatment plans, interpretation of advanced testing, and management of your own patient panel.

Clinical Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide follow-up care for established functional and integrative medicine patients
  • Review laboratory results and monitor response to existing treatment plans
  • Manage and adjust hormone replacement therapy when clinically appropriate
  • Provide care for perimenopause, menopause, thyroid disorders, metabolic dysfunction, insulin resistance, medical weight management, gastrointestinal concerns, bone health, and other chronic conditions
  • Prescribe medications, bioidentical hormone therapies, supplements, and other appropriate treatments
  • Incorporate nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle medicine, exercise, sleep, stress management, and other evidence-informed therapies into patient care
  • Interpret conventional and specialty laboratory testing
  • Participate in IV nutrient and injectable nutrient therapy when appropriate
  • Educate patients clearly regarding treatment options, risks, benefits, and realistic expectations
  • Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and multidisciplinary clinical team
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerbo EMR
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with patients

Functional & Integrative Medicine

Our patients often come to us with chronic or complex health concerns that require a more comprehensive approach than traditional symptom-based care.

Areas of care include:

  • Functional and integrative medicine
  • Women's health
  • Perimenopause and menopause
  • Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy
  • Men's hormone optimization
  • Thyroid disorders
  • Metabolic dysfunction and insulin resistance
  • Medical weight management and GLP-1 therapy
  • Gastrointestinal and microbiome health
  • Nutritional and micronutrient deficiencies
  • Autoimmune and inflammatory conditions
  • Cardiovascular prevention and advanced risk assessment
  • Osteopenia, osteoporosis, and bone health
  • Healthy aging and longevity-focused medicine
  • Lifestyle and stress-related health concerns
  • Functional and specialty laboratory testing

Prior experience with hormone replacement therapy is highly desirable. Additional mentorship and training are available for a strong clinician who wants to further develop expertise in this area.

Medical Aesthetics & Regenerative Medicine

We are particularly interested in a clinician with prior experience or a strong interest in medical aesthetics, regenerative medicine, and procedural care.

Procedures within the practice include:

  • Neurotoxin injections
  • PRP and PRF therapies
  • Microneedling
  • Regenerative skin treatments
  • Laser hair removal
  • Laser skin treatments
  • Energy-based aesthetic treatments
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Medical-grade skincare
  • OMNIWave/GAINSWave shockwave therapy
  • Men's and women's sexual wellness treatments
  • Musculoskeletal and regenerative therapies

Experience with every modality is not required.

Prior aesthetic experience is strongly preferred, particularly with neurotoxins, PRP/PRF, microneedling, and laser treatments. However, we are willing to provide additional training to an exceptional clinician with strong medical judgment, procedural aptitude, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to develop aesthetic expertise.

Our aesthetic philosophy is medically grounded and conservative, emphasizing patient safety, skin health, healthy aging, regenerative approaches, and natural-looking results.

Growth of the Role

This position is intentionally designed to grow over time.

Initially, the clinician will work primarily with established patients and participate in areas in which they already have appropriate experience and training.

As the clinician demonstrates familiarity with our clinical approach, specialty testing, treatment philosophy, and patient population, responsibilities may expand to include:

  • Comprehensive functional and integrative medicine new-patient consultations
  • Independent development of complex diagnostic and treatment plans
  • Interpretation of advanced functional and specialty laboratory testing
  • Development and management of an independent patient panel
  • Greater responsibility for hormone optimization and healthy aging medicine
  • Expansion into regenerative medicine and sexual wellness programs
  • Development of additional clinical or aesthetic specialties based on the clinician's interests and expertise

The pace of this transition will depend on prior experience, demonstrated clinical judgment, comfort level, patient demand, and collaboration with the Medical Director.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or ability to obtain licensure
  • Several years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Women's Health, or another adult medicine setting
  • Prior functional or integrative medicine experience or substantial formal training
  • Strong foundation in conventional medicine and excellent clinical judgment
  • Comfort caring for adult patients with chronic and complex health concerns
  • Strong interest in hormone optimization, preventive medicine, and healthy aging
  • Strong interest in medical aesthetics and regenerative medicine
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Strong procedural aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent documentation and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a physician-led clinical model
  • BLS certification
  • DEA registration or eligibility as appropriate for scope of practice

Strongly Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:

  • Functional medicine
  • Integrative medicine
  • Hormone replacement therapy
  • Menopause management
  • Men's hormone health
  • Medical weight management
  • Functional gastrointestinal medicine
  • IV therapy
  • Nutraceuticals and supplementation
  • Neurotoxin injections
  • PRP/PRF
  • Microneedling
  • Laser therapy
  • Regenerative medicine
  • Sexual wellness
  • Shockwave therapy
  • Medical aesthetics

A clinician who combines strong conventional medical training with functional medicine, hormone therapy, and hands-on aesthetic or procedural experience would be an especially strong fit.
