The FPF Ad Specialist is a critical part of the FPF Sales Team helping Vermont businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, political leaders and others tap into the power of Front Porch Forum via our highly effective forum advertising services.


The Advertising Specialist provides skilled and professional communications to generate new business for the company while growing our existing customer base and effectively managing the relationships of both.

This role will collaborate with sales colleagues to generate ideas for new growth opportunities for FPF. The sales team is a supportive environment fostering cross-training and learning.  This role will work closely with the FPF technical, operations, and community teams to improve our service, create ads and content, and support invoicing and collections of closed deals.

This full-time (30+ hours/week) role reports to the Sales Director and is a flexible position allowing variable end and start times within FPF standard business operating hours, with primarily remote work and scheduled sales team meetings hosted virtually and in the Burlington office. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in scheduled team sales meetings
  • Maintain the HubSpot CRM platform for customer base
  • Meet assigned sales goals
  • Participate in scheduled sales reviews with Sales Director
  • Successfully prospect for new advertising customers 
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with key customers

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technically savvy with working knowledge of HubSpot, Slack, • Google Workspace and Zoom, or comparable.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability and desire to proactively prospect for new business

Desired Experience

Successful applicants will have the following professional experiences:

  • Minimum of three years sales experience 
  • Advertising/media sales experience a plus
  • Proven performance with B2B sales
  • Preference given to candidates with Vermont sales experience  
  • Knowledge of and experience with the FPF platform


This position is privy to confidential membership and business documents.  Confidentiality and discretion is required.  All employees are required to sign non-disclosure agreements when joining the team. 

Work Environment

This is a flexible position allowing variable start and end times within FPF standard business operating hours, with primarily remote work and monthly Sales Team meetings at FPF’s Burlington, VT office. FPF’s office is on the second floor of a building, accessible only by stairs.

Remote work requires a quiet space dedicated to work and reliable, secure, high-speed internet access.
