What You'll Do
As a Teacher, you will:
- Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum.
- Support children's social-emotional development and guide behavior in a positive manner.
- Observe children's growth and communicate important information with families and leadership.
- Participate in meals, outdoor play, and daily routines alongside the children.
- Help children develop independence through everyday tasks such as self-care, hygiene, and problem-solving.
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment that meets all licensing requirements.
- Communicate professionally with families through conversations, written communication, and our classroom management systems.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and support staff to create a positive team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in a preschool, childcare, or educational setting preferred.
- Ability to meet all Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC) requirements.
- Willingness to complete required professional development and ongoing training.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift and carry children and classroom materials up to 40 pounds.
- Sit, stand, bend, kneel, and move frequently throughout the day.
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities in various weather conditions.
- Maintain active supervision of children at all times.
