LOCATION: 101 Dan Fox Drive, Pittsfield, MA

Full-time and part-time seasonal positions available for day shifts and night shifts.

Job Summary: This position is essential for maintaining all park elements in the terrain park in an effort to provide an enjoyable environment and the best terrain park experience for our guests. The primary function of a terrain park ranger is to monitor and maintain terrain features and perform periodic checks on said features in the freestyle parks and other locations where applicable. The TPR acts as host in regard to crowd supervision, safety awareness education, Freestyle Terrain etiquette and guest relations. Essential Functions: 

  •  Installing and maintaining park signage, closures, trail markings, fencing and banner tape. 
  •  Monitoring terrain features by visual inspection and testing according to company policy. 
  •  Maintaining ongoing monitoring and maintenance of terrain features and equipment in the parks. 
  •  Assisting with special events including erection and maintenance of equipment. 
  •  Participate in user education and training.    

 NOTE: All Bousquet Mountain employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends. 

Qualifications:  

  •  18 years of age or older required 
  •  High school diploma or equivalent required 
  •  Valid driver’s license required 
  •  Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. 
  •  Able to shovel and rake snow for extended periods of time in variable weather conditions 
  •  Prior experience in terrain parks preferred 
  •  Snowcat driving experience preferred 
  •  Working knowledge of park layout/design and park event experience 
  •  Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) 
  •  Rail fabrication experience preferred 
  •  First Aid certification preferred 

Customer Service Expectations:                                      

 The Terrain Park Ranger has significant direct customer contact when working in the Terrain Park. It is therefore of utmost importance that the TPR be courteous and professional in accordance with Bousquet’s commitment to providing superior customer service.  

Work Environment: 

The position involves working outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, and rain, on varied snow surfaces, and requires being on your feet for the majority of the scheduled shift. Some time is spent inside, but inside time still requires alertness and attention to the lift and passengers.

Salary

$15.75 - $15.75 per hour
