Program Overview

We are seeking a creative, licensed clinician to serve as our Rehabilitation Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will provide clinical oversight, individualized training, and high-level support to Rehabilitation Counselors working with adults navigating severe and persistent mental illness. Our program is dedicated to providing a safe, therapeutic environment that facilitates client-centered recovery and optimal community integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Oversight: Lead the rehabilitation process by completing comprehensive Rehabilitation Assessments and individualized Rehabilitation Plans.
  • Compliance & Authorization: Manage the authorization process for services and ensure all clinical documentation is completed within a 24-hour window.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direct clinical supervision to Rehabilitation Counselors; facilitate case consultations and staff meetings.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate closely with each individual’s external treatment team (therapists, psychiatrists, etc.) to ensure holistic care.
  • Lifecycle Management: Facilitate new client orientations and oversee the discharge/re-engagement process.
  • Operational Growth: Assist with outreach, networking, and marketing efforts to expand the program’s footprint.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s Degree in a Human Services field.
  • Licensure: Active Maryland License (LGPC, LCPC, LGSW, or LCSW) OR National Certification (CPRP or CRC).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with adults with persistent mental illness (SMI) and/or children with severe emotional disturbances (SED).
  • Knowledge Base: Strong familiarity with COMAR regulations (specifically for OMHC, SUD, and PRP) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Requirements

Master’s Degree & License as a LGPC, LGSW, LCSW, LCPC or CPRP(Certified Psychiatric Rehab Practitioner)/ CRC Certified Rehabilitation Counselor

Demonstrated leadership in providing clinical services, supervision, great oral and written communication skills, time management, organizational skills, conflict resolution, use of computer programs (e.g., MS Office, MS Publisher, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Our candidate must have at least two years of experience working with children with emotional disturbance and/or adults with persistent mental illness. Having knowledge of COMAR regulations for OMHC, SUD & PRP is a plus.

Salary

$52,000 - $60,000 per year
