As an expert academic & AP tutor, you will provide support for students navigating their high-school classes and taking their AP exams. You will have the flexibility to choose your hours and number of students you work with, so long as you schedule in a way that sets your students up for success.

What we ask in return is for you to be a thoughtful, empathetic tutor with the adaptability to meet the unique needs of a variety of students.

To best serve our families, all candidates must be located in Pennsylvania.

Subjects Needed

• AP US, European, & World History
• AP Calculus and other Maths
• AP Biology & Environmental Science
• AP Physics & Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Create dynamic, engaging lessons for students in virtual one-on-one prep
• Design and implement lesson plans for varying levels of content knowledge and aptitude
• Structure lessons, schedules, and homework in ways that fits the particular needs of each student and maximizes student success
• Establish clear goals and milestones with students, and develop plans to achieve them
• Document and communicate periodic progress reports
• Provide constructive and conscientious feedback for students and families

Experience Required

• Experience working with your subject matter in a professional context (e.g. AP tutoring, college or high-school teaching)
• Previous experience with individualized tutoring
• Comfort and experience with the AP curriculum and test content
• Ability to build rapport with students and parents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be responsive and conscientious in all communication, internal or external
• A high level of comfort and capability with Zoom platform tools (annotation, screen sharing, etc.)
