Primary Goal:
The Paint/Drywall Technician will perform hands-on labor required for hanging and finishing drywall, as well as preparing and finishing paint work on all FHI projects. Additionally, the Paint/Drywall Technician should be able to follow instructions, as well as work independently, with minimal supervision. They will conduct themselves in a professional manner that directly aligns with Fox Home Innovations Core Values and Focus.
Qualifications:
§ Minimum 1 year of related experience in residential painting and drywall hanging and finishing.
§ Must have strong organization, communication, and project supervisory skills.
§ Personal vehicle to get to and from worksite and capable of transporting all necessary personal tools & equipment.
§ Position requires the physical ability to perform tasks on all areas and aspects of a construction project.
§ Possess the required inventory of tools for work.
§ Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
§ Great attention to detail.
§ Willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment.
§ Accuracy with measurements.
§ Carry out after project cleaning of areas, supplies and equipment at the completion of a project.
§ Comply with OSHA/MDS guidelines with respect to the use of hazardous chemicals.
§ Reviewing and implementing work orders and assignments.
§ Ability to perform work according to Fox Home Innovations, LLC quality standards.
§ Neat appearance.
§ Must possess a valid driver's license.
Paint/Drywall Technician Primary Responsibilities:
The Paint/Drywall Technician is responsible for supporting the Project Managers and Lead Carpenters in the efficient and timely completing of their projects. To that end, specific production responsibilities include:

Paint/Drywall and Site Duties:
§ Responsible for painting the exterior and interior areas of projects.
§ Execute pre-painting activities, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc.
§ Maintain an inventory of paint and supplies.
§ Understanding basic drywall handling and installation.
§ Provide guidance on project cleanliness, safety, efficiency, and customer service.
§ Store leftover paint, stain, materials used in the appropriate locations.
§ Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings.
§ Setting up ventilation and other safety equipment to protect against unhealthy fumes.
§ Applying primer and other sealants to paint surfaces to ensure paint sticks.
§ Preparing surfaces to be painted to include washing, filling holes and cracks, sanding until surface is smooth.
§ Mixing and matching paint or stain to existing paint or stain and applying to surfaces.
§ Removing and reinstalling fixtures (i.e. doorknobs, switch covers, lights, etc.)
§ Participate in marketing activities like Home Tours and Home Shows and help with the setup and takedown of marketing events and work on the occasional weekend Home Tours.
