Internships are unpaid non-employee positions for students currently enrolled in approved mental health programs. Interns report to the site supervisor who may assign an approved staff member to oversee supervision. It is the responsibility of the intern to be sure supervisory staff and role at FFT satisfy all requirements for their graduate program course prior to beginning their internship.
Tasks and responsibilities will vary and may be added or removed based on company needs. Some responsibilities and tasks will include but are not limited to the following:
Qualifications
- Current student at a master’s level counseling program
- Interested in working with children, teens, adults, couples and families in an outpatient setting
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Ability to make independent, ethical decisions
- Interest in faith based therapy or Biblical worldview a plus
- Ability to collaborate with other team members and clients
- Basic theory knowledge and application
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrative work as assigned
- Co-therapy and independent therapy with children, teens, adults, couples and families
- Flexible availability to see clients throughout the week
- Documentation within 48 hours in EHR system
- Meet for supervision weekly
- Maintain school records, supervision records, and all paperwork for supervisor
- Make sure all paperwork is given with at least 14 days of due date to supervisor
