Foundations is actively seeking dedicated individuals to serve the individuals with very exceptionalities we serve in our clinic and group home setting. Interest applicants should have a strong interest in helping individuals with varying disabilities learn functional living skills with the ultimate goal of independent living. Interest applicants should also possess a strong desire assist individuals served with behavioral challenges overcame barriers to full community inclusion.
You will be working in a Behavior Focused Group Home environment, with low to high functioning adolescent (15-22 year old) males. Not all individuals are toilet trained and may need bathroom or changing assistance.
Job Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assistance with activities of daily living including but not limited to: bathing, cooking, cleaning, and financial management
- Transportation of individuals served to a variety of locations within the community
- Management of targeted behaviors proven to be problematic for the individual served
- Data collection and progress monitoring of goals for all individuals served
- Facilitation of on-going trainings for individuals such as money management, abuse and neglect, and person-centered rights
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older;
- High school diploma / GED
- 1 year history of serving individuals with varying exceptionalities
- Driver’s License, with a clean driving record
- Successful clearance of background screenings at both the local and state level
- Physical dexterity to lift in excess of 25 pounds as well as perform necessary restraints to ensure client safety
- Ability to work a variety of shifts during week days and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR certification (provided by us if you do not have one)
- Current PCM certification / background in using PCM (we will provide this training if you do not posess it)
- 1 year documented experience in serving individuals possessing behavioral challenges in a group home setting
- Documented experience using online programs such as google docs, forms, and google sheets
