Position: Armed Security Officer

• Pay Range: $20 - $24 per hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and Protection: Perform routine patrols to deter potential threats and respond to incidents.
• Armed Response: Carry and maintain proficiency in the use of assigned firearms in compliance with all regulations and safety standards.
• Emergency Handling: React quickly and effectively to emergencies, coordinating with local law enforcement as needed.
• Detailed Reporting: Prepare detailed incident reports, maintaining accurate records and logs of all activities.
• Conflict De-escalation: Utilize communication skills to calmly diffuse tense situations, ensuring a safe resolution.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Valid DPSST Armed and Unarmed security license
• Completion of firearms training and certification
• Ability to pass an extensive background check and drug screening
• Military or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required

General Qualifications for Position:

• Ballistic Vest: Must possess or be willing to acquire a minimum Level IIIA ballistic vest.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• High level of integrity and reliability
• Willingness to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
• Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
