Foundation Psychiatry is a high-growth psychiatric practice specializing in advanced treatments including TMS and SPRAVATO®. We’re looking for a Practice Operations Lead to help us accelerate into our next phase of expansion. This leadership role is for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces multi-tasking and digital tools, and wants to build the operational backbone of a scaling healthcare practice. You’ll work closely with the practice owner and current leadership team (including our Practice Manager) to streamline newly integrated systems, improve efficiency, and remove bottlenecks across clinical operations, hiring, credentialing, and patient access. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, communicative, tech-savvy, and confident leading implementation projects that touch every part of the practice.

Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive operational improvements across all areas of the practice, including patient flow, scheduling, billing coordination, credentialing, and vendor management.
  • Spearhead tech adoption and automation of previously manual processes (e.g., prior authorizations, hiring workflows, insurance enrollment).
  • Collaborate with the owner and leadership team to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, especially around hiring and onboarding of new clinical personnel (contractor vs. employee structure analysis).
  • Monitor KPIs across operations and propose improvements proactively.
  • Manage credentialing and payer enrollment processes quickly and digitally—no pen and paper.
  • Oversee implementation and optimization of EMRs (AthenaHealth) and task/project management tools (e.g. Google Suite, calendar and action item management).
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulatory standards as compliance ambassador.
  • Support scaling of our TMS and SPRAVATO® service lines with operational precision and speed, in conjunction with state-of-the-art diagnostics and imaging.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of healthcare operations or practice management experience.
  • Strong technical literacy—comfortable learning and deploying new software.
  • Familiarity with medical credentialing, insurance prior authorizations for medications and procedures, and EMRs.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and execution skills.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience in psychiatry or behavioral health practices.
  • Knowledge of SPRAVATO® workflows or TMS billing/operations.
  • Human Resources/Compliance experience.
  • Experience in leading in the implementation of new services and/or clinician recruitment and hiring.
