We're a growing team bringing energy-efficient heat pumps to homeowners across Greater Boston. Our approach: educate first, sell second. We're not a fast-paced, transactional sales shop — we take the time to do things right: thoughtful system design, clear communication, and a better experience for the homeowner.
The Role
This is a consultative, in-home sales role for someone who builds trust, understands how homes work, and guides customers to the right heat pump solution. You'll own deals end-to-end — first conversation through close — including site visits, system scoping, quote development, and follow-through.
Compensation: Base salary + commission, with expected OTE of $125,000–$175,000+. We're open to speaking with high-performing candidates who may fall outside this range.
What You'll Do
- Customer Engagement & Sales: Be the primary point of contact for customers, assessing heating/cooling needs via in-home visits, calls, video, email, and chat, while educating them on system benefits.
- Site Assessments & System Scoping: Conduct in-home and virtual evaluations, recommend the right heat pump system, build customized proposals, and address questions on placement, electrical needs, and efficiency.
- Process & Customer Satisfaction: Refine sales strategy, share best practices, and make sure customers capture applicable rebates and incentives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with system designers and project coordinators to keep execution smooth.
- CRM & Data: Track leads and interactions in CRM, and feed insights back to marketing and leadership.
Who You Are
- 2–5 years selling heat pumps specifically — this is required, not just preferred. You know the products, the sales cycle, and how to talk homeowners through the decision
- A proven closer who builds trust and knows how to guide (not push) a sale
- Hardworking, persistent, and goal-oriented
- Technically fluent in HVAC systems, layouts, and heat pump concepts
- Organized and proactive about managing your own pipeline
- Coachable, adaptable, and comfortable going deep with customers rather than rushing them
- Motivated by earnings and by growing with a company early
- Not looking for an established playbook — you're up for building the sales process as much as running it
- Experiment-first mindset — you're happy testing things. Tossing out what doesn’t work and systemizing what does
- Energized by an uncomfortable pace — we're a young and growing company; you should find that, and all the things that come with it, exciting and fun
- Already building AI into how you work — not "meaning to get around to it," but actively using AI tools to sell smarter and faster
Required
- 2–5 years of direct heat pump sales experience
- Available full-time (M-F), with flexibility for extended weekday hours when needed
- Valid driver's license for site visits
- Able to pass a background check and 4-panel drug test (no marijuana screening)
