About Forever Friends Childcare

We are an educator friendly childcare center and preschool. We provide excellent care to children ages 0-5 as well as before and aftercare for school age children up to age 12. As early childhood educators, we are responsible for building brains through responsive caregiving experiences. We are an inclusive program that fully implements NYS Pyramid Model practice, focused on social emotional development. Our center runs on the school calendar, so we close for school breaks and for summer. School-Age Before/After Care Teacher

Forever Friends Childcare, West Irondequoit, NY

Schedule: Follows the West Irondequoit Central School District Calendar

Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (with potential for additional hours during school breaks)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and engage school-age children in structured and unstructured activities
  • Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate games, arts & crafts, and enrichment activities
  • Encourage social-emotional development
  • Maintain a safe and positive environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents, and fellow staff
  • Support occasional full-day care on school breaks, early release days, and professional development days

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children ages 5–12 (preferred)
  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
