FoodStream Learn, Nutrition & Culinary Program Coordinator
Location: New York City (Remote with occasional onsite visits)
Type: Part-time/Contractor
Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour, based on experience
About the Role
FoodStream Learn is seeking a FoodStream Learn Coordinator to manage and support the implementation of food education programs in NYC schools. This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in program coordination, education, or nonprofit operations. The Coordinator will play a key role in facilitating communication between schools, educators, and internal teams while ensuring smooth program execution.
Responsibilities

Program Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between schools, educators, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and streamlined operations.

Logistics & Scheduling: Oversee scheduling, program materials, and session logistics, ensuring all necessary resources (ingredients, equipment, and lesson plans) are available for each session.

Educator Support: Assist educators in developing lesson plans, adapting curriculum to school requirements, and ensuring all materials are properly organized.

Monitoring & Reporting: Track program implementation, collect feedback from educators and schools, and maintain accurate records to evaluate program effectiveness.

Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure programs adhere to FoodStream’s educational and safety standards, making improvements as necessary.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Health, Nutrition, Program Management, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in program coordination, education, community engagement, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Google Suite and a wide range of digital project management tools such as Slack and Toggl.
Preferred:
- Experience working with schools, nonprofits, or food education programs.
- Background in curriculum development or lesson planning.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency.
- Access to own transport, cellphone and computer in good working order
- Knowledge of food education, sustainability, or public health initiatives.
Hours & Contract Details
- Part-time contract position with flexible scheduling based on school program needs.
- Hourly compensation of $20 - $25, based on experience and qualifications.
