Position Overview:   

The Administrative Assistant is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring administrative processes are carried out as a function of assisting the Administrative Director with completing daily administrative tasks. This person must be compassionate, a great team player, organized, quick-learning, detail-oriented, and fast-working.


The incumbent is relied upon for ensuring the administrative tasks related to the day-to-day business and administrative function of the company are completed. These functions may include operational coordination with external and internal stakeholders, front and back-office duties, training and orientation of new and existing staff, credentialing of providers and facilities, and logistical support of the medical, clinical, and recovery support teams.

 

Job Functions:   

  • Ensure physical documentation is imported to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Engage patients in need of assistance with financial agreements, verification of benefits, financial hardship applications, and associated documentation.
  • Enter billing records by coordinating with billing staff and ensuring collection efforts for patient fees are completed.
  • Filing of administrative physical documentation.
  • Assist with regulatory, licensing, and accreditation activities as identified by the Administrative Director or Senior Leadership.
  • Assist with ensuring complete credentialing files internally and externally with payers.
  • Other clerical work as necessary to ensure effective and accurate filing of business documents.
  • Periodic auditing of EMR records.
  • Other duties as assigned by management staff.

 

 

Development Responsibilities:

 

·        Assist with development of procedural systems improvement activities.

·        Assists, as requested, with marketing programs & literature development. 

·        Performs other related duties and activities as required.

 

Qualification Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or GED required. 

·        Minimum one (1) years’ experience in an office or health care setting required.

·        If driving for company business, must possess a valid driver’s license.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 

 

Computer Skills:    

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Electronic Medical Records; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Salary

$14 - $18 per hour
