FlyteVu Creative, Social Nashville, TN · Brooklyn, NY · Los Angeles, CA · Remote · Full time Company website

This full-time position is for a Creative with big, disruptive ideas, strong creative instincts, and great social experience. Someone who can crack a brief, find the unexpected angle, and create work that gets noticed. You might be given a social brief, a larger brand brief, or spot an opportunity nobody briefed at all. Sometimes the insight will be handed to you. Sometimes you’ll have to go find it. Either way, we want someone curious and hungry enough to keep digging until they find something interesting. Social is the center of gravity for the role, but not the limit of the thinking. A great idea might become a piece of content, a campaign, an activation, a partnership, an experience, or something we haven’t thought of yet. This isn’t a social designer role. It’s an idea role. This isn’t a social-only creative, a designer, or a photographer role. It’s an idea role. The ideal person would also be a maker, ready to write, shoot, edit, experiment with AI and emerging tools, or bring together the right collaborators to make an idea real.

Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:

Big Ideas & Concepting:

  • Develop original creative concepts for social, campaigns, partnerships, activations, and cultural moments
  • Generate big, disruptive ideas with the potential to travel beyond a single post or platform
  • Crack briefs and find the insight, tension, behavior, or unexpected observation that opens up the creative
  • Concept and create work for a range of client brands as well as FlyteVu’s own social presence
  • Turn larger campaign ideas into social ideas that people choose to watch, share, save, or talk about
  • Bring a social-native perspective to broader creative briefs and integrated campaigns

Creative Development & Making:

  • Bring select ideas to life through shooting, editing, AI, and emerging creative tools
  • Write scripts, hooks, headlines, social copy, captions, treatments, and whatever else helps sell or make the idea
  • Push past the first idea and keep going until the work reaches a more surprising, ownable answer
  • Move quickly when culture creates an opportunity, without using speed as an excuse for mediocre work

Cultural Fluency & Collaboration:

  • Think across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and emerging platforms, understanding the audiences, behaviors, and creative language of each
  • Stay attuned to platform shifts, audience behaviors, creators, conversations, and cultural signals, then turn those observations into original creative rather than simply chasing trends
  • Pitch ideas clearly and confidently to internal teams and clients
  • Constantly think about and pitch creative opportunities beyond official briefs
  • Collaborate with the larger creative team on broader briefs and with the right specialists to make ambitious ideas real

How We Think About Social:

Social isn’t the place where the campaign gets resized.

It’s a place to have some of our biggest ideas. The best social work understands the audience, the platform, and the moment, but starts with an idea strong enough to earn attention anywhere.

We’re looking for someone hungry to make that kind of work.

Other Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Develop and grow knowledge of assigned client businesses and their competitive landscapes
  • Maintain a pulse on internet culture, creators, music, pop culture, entertainment, technology, and platform developments
  • File and organize needed documents within agency software and systems
  • Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information
  • Proactively manage client expectations and deliver exemplary customer service
  • Be willing to work during non-business hours, including weekends and additional hours beyond the 40-hour work week as needed
  • Assist with on-site activation and fulfillment of client programs, which require that employees:
  • Must be able to travel without restriction, including with less than a day’s notice
  • Must be physically able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. and load/unload, set up, and tear down as needed
  • Must pass a background check

Special Note: Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

Location Requirements: Candidates must be based in Los Angeles, New York, or Nashville. Los Angeles- and New York-based employees may work fully remotely. Nashville-based employees will follow a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two remote days per week.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The criteria below represent the required knowledge, skill, experience, and ability. Required Competencies/Skills:

  • 3–6 years of creative experience, ideally within an agency, brand, social, entertainment, or culture-driven environment
  • A portfolio that makes us think, “I wish I’d thought of that,” with strong concepts, unexpected ideas, and work with a clear point of view
  • Big conceptual thinking combined with strong social experience
  • Relentless curiosity: a drive to explore new tools, follow unexpected threads, and notice things other people miss
  • Creative hunger and a commitment to making great work, getting better, trying things, and pushing an idea beyond what was asked for
  • The ability to find the creative opportunity when the insight isn’t neatly packaged in the brief
  • Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to generate many genuinely different ideas
  • A sharp understanding of internet culture, entertainment, creators, brands, and how different audiences behave online
  • Strong working knowledge of major social platforms and the emerging platforms the industry will be talking about next
  • Excellent writing skills with a strong sense of voice, humor, tone, and clarity
  • Strong taste and an eye for visual storytelling
  • A maker mentality and comfort getting hands-on to figure out how to make something great
  • Comfort experimenting with AI and emerging creative technology as part of the creative process, not just as a productivity shortcut
  • Openness to feedback and zero preciousness about making an idea better
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines and operate in fast-paced, hard-deadline environments
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity

Additional Preferences/Not Required:

  • Ability to shoot, edit, design, animate, or bring another creative superpower that helps make ideas real
  • Experience building or growing a social account, professionally or personally
  • Experience across entertainment, music, sports, lifestyle, consumer brands, or culture-driven campaigns
  • Active experimentation with AI and new creative tools, with work that demonstrates the possibilities
