As we continue scaling our platform and optimizing our cloud architecture, we are seeking a Full Stack Architect with Azure expertise to guide our technical direction and work closely with key customers and internal stakeholders.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Architect who will play a critical role in the continued development and optimization of the FlyGuys platform. This position requires a strong full-stack development background, deep expertise in Azure, and experience in customer-facing technical roles. You will provide guidance on best practices, cloud optimization, and data modeling strategies. Additionally, you will engage with key customers in Houston and Louisiana and our headquarters in Lafayette, Louisiana, gathering technology requirements and helping design scalable solutions to meet customer needs. 

Key Responsibilities

• Azure Expertise: Provide best practices, architectural oversight, and optimization recommendations for our Azure-based infrastructure, with additional expertise in AWS and Google Cloud monitoring.
• Customer Engagement: Participate in in-person meetings with key industrial and enterprise customers and prospects to gather technical requirements and propose solutions. Help define high-level integration strategies and to identify the optimal configuration to integrate with our customers’ digital ecosystem.  
• Data Modeling & Architecture: Design scalable data models and ensure efficient data management across the platform.
• Security & Compliance: Assist in implementing enterprise-grade security and data protection practices and data security standards (e.g. SOC II Type 2) with a preference for those experienced in industrial facility data security.
• Cloud Monitoring & Optimization: Ensure high availability, performance, and cost efficiency across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with the Lead Architect, development teams, and customer success teams to align business and technology goals.
• Platform Development: Periodically contribute as a Full Stack Developer, working on the FlyGuys platform using Microsoft .NET (C#) for microservices, Angular for web applications, and React Native for mobile apps.

Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure (including architecture, optimization, and cost management).
• Excellent customer communication skills, with experience gathering requirements and presenting technical solutions.
• Strong data modeling skills for designing and optimizing database structures.
• Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring experience across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Full Stack Development expertise with proficiency in:
• Microsoft .NET (C#) for back-end / microservices 
• SQL Server for database 
• Angular for web applications
• Experience in data security and compliance best practices. 
• Strong knowledge of API design and microservices architecture.
• Able to drive to Houston, Texas, and Layette, Louisiana for customer meetings and to support our team in Lafayette

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and cloud automation
• Background in AI-driven data platforms or drone technology
• React Native for mobile applications
• Experience with SOC II compliance 
• Experience with heavy industry is preferred, particularly with facility data security 
• Located in Lafayette is preferred as you can work at our headquarters in downtown Lafayette.
