Florida Psychiatry & Wellness is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically strong Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP preferred; FNP with psychiatry experience considered) to join our growing practice. We are committed to delivering exceptional psychiatric care through an evidence-based, patient-centered approach in both outpatient and post-acute care settings.

Position Overview

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care while rounding at multiple post-acute care facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who values independence, clinical excellence, and meaningful patient care in transitional settings.

This position is initially part-time, with the option to transition to full-time after 3 months based on mutual fit and performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments
• Diagnose and treat mental health conditions
• Provide medication management and individualized treatment planning
• Round at several post-acute care facilities and collaborate with facility teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Florida Nurse Practitioner license
• Board Certification (PMHNP preferred)
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and communication skills
• Experience in Psychiatry strongly preferred
