We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Outreach Medical Assistant to support both clinic-based care and off-site community testing. This unique hybrid position combines traditional patient care with public health outreach, ideal for someone who enjoys both structured clinical work and dynamic community engagement.
Description
Clinic Duties: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at our Fort Lauderdale clinic
Outreach Duties: Tuesdays and Thursdays at community sites, performing testing and triage
- Room patients, obtain vitals, update EMR, and assist with in-clinic procedures
- Perform rapid testing (HIV, Hepatitis C, STIs, glucose, etc.) during outreach days
- Triage clients at outreach sites, gather patient history, and determine follow-up needs
- Educate clients on preventive care and link to services as appropriate
- Support health fairs, mobile clinics, and reentry events as scheduled
- Maintain supplies, logs, and proper documentation for both clinic and outreach sites
- Ensure HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control compliance at all locations
Salary
$19 - $26 per hour
