Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-centered care, ensuring medication therapy is optimized for safety and efficacy.
• Support full-time pharmacists by providing coverage during their time off.
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to federal and state laws.
• Follow Kentucky Board of Pharmacy protocols to test and treat.
• Apply knowledge of genetic testing to provide personalized patient care (or be willing to learn).
• Perform compounding tasks as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive pharmacy services.
• Stay current on pharmacy best practices and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
• Active pharmacist license in Kentucky (Indiana license is a plus).
• Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Immunization certification.
• Willingness to adapt and learn new protocols and technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to bring creative ideas to enhance patient care and pharmacy operations.
• Willingness to train for test-to-treat, genetic testing, and compounding if not already trained.
• Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Schedule:

• At least one day per week with potential for increased hours.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate PRN needs.
• Pharmacy hours are Monday - Friday 9am-6pm, closed daily 1-2pm for lunch.
