Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered care, ensuring medication therapy is optimized for safety and efficacy.
- Support full-time pharmacists by providing coverage during their time off.
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to federal and state laws.
- Follow Kentucky Board of Pharmacy protocols to test and treat.
- Apply knowledge of genetic testing to provide personalized patient care (or be willing to learn).
- Perform compounding tasks as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive pharmacy services.
- Stay current on pharmacy best practices and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
- Active pharmacist license in Kentucky (Indiana license is a plus).
- Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Immunization certification.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new protocols and technologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to bring creative ideas to enhance patient care and pharmacy operations.
- Willingness to train for test-to-treat, genetic testing, and compounding if not already trained.
- Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Schedule:
- At least one day per week with potential for increased hours.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate PRN needs.
- Pharmacy hours are Monday - Friday 9am-6pm, closed daily 1-2pm for lunch.
