Finney Hospitality Group is looking for a General Manager to take the reins at one of our cornerstone Bloomington restaurants. This isn’t just about running a restaurant. It’s about leading an established business with deep community roots, elevating operations, and building on a legacy of hospitality excellence.

What You’ll Be Leading

Leadership & Culture

  • Carry forward the culture of one of FHG’s founding restaurants while continuing to evolve and improve
  • Work closely with FHG’s leadership team to align with brand vision and company goals
  • Keep everyone inspired and accountable with clear goals, communication, and direction

Daily Operations

  • Run the show—overseeing front-of-house, back-of-house, and bar operations
  • Ensure top-tier service, food quality, and a smooth, efficient guest experience
  • Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards like a pro
  • Refine systems that keep the team focused and the operation tight

Team Building & Development

  • Hire, train, and lead a team that feels more like a hospitality dream squad
  • Mentor and support Assistant Managers and staff with regular coaching and feedback
  • Create a fun, respectful workplace where people are proud to work and grow
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and positivity

Guest Experience Excellence

  • Set the gold standard for service—friendly, fast, and unforgettable
  • Lead by example and coach your team to always go the extra mile
  • Listen to guest feedback, act fast on concerns, and turn first-timers into loyal regulars
  • Develop and implement guest engagement strategies that build long-term community ties

Business & Financial Management

  • Create and manage budgets, forecasts, and business plans with precision
  • Track key performance metrics and take action to keep your numbers strong
  • Handle inventory, purchasing, and cost controls like a seasoned pro
  • Collaborate with regional leaders to plan for growth and sustained success

Local Marketing & Community Vibes

  • Support local marketing efforts and bring brand promotions to life
  • Be the face of the restaurant in the community—building relationships and good buzz
  • Use tools like social media and partnerships to boost awareness and traffic


Do You Fit the Bill?

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years of restaurant management experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role
  • A proven track record in leading high-volume, full-service restaurants
  • Strong understanding of restaurant financials—budgeting, cost control, and forecasting
  • Inspiring leadership style that drives performance and builds strong teams
  • Confidence in making decisions, solving problems, and leading in real time
  • Tech-savvy with restaurant systems + Microsoft Office
  • ServSafe Manager Certification + responsible alcohol service certification (or ability to get them)
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Bloomington, IN


Work Requirements

  • Full-time, average 45 hours/week
  • Open availability (nights, weekends, holidays—we’re in hospitality!)
  • Attend required company development meetings
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

💵 Salary: $60,000–$68,000 (based on experience)
