The Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Juvenile Placement Facility, providing direct oversight of frontline staff and ensuring a safe, structured environment for residents. This position serves as the operational link between the Program Manager and direct care personnel, with primary responsibility forshift management, staff performance, facility safety, and compliance with agency policies. The Supervisor ensures consistent delivery of trauma-informed, culturally responsive care across all shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring all shifts are adequately staffed and operate with the required number of qualified personnel.
•Coordinate and manage the 24/7 direct care schedule, including awake-hours and sleep staff coverage for up to six residents.
•Make real-time staffing adjustments to address call-outs, emergencies, or changes in resident census.
•Conduct daily shift briefings and debriefings to ensure continuity of care and transfer of critical information between shifts.
•Monitor interactions between staff and residents to verify that trauma-informed care and behavioral protocols are consistently followed.
•Conduct regular performance evaluations for Behavioral Technicians, provide feedback, and address performance or disciplinary matters in accordance with agency personnel policies.
•Ensure direct care staff complete all required training within mandated timeframes, including crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, emergency procedures, and documentation standards.
•Identify staff development needs and coordinate with the Program Manager to implement in-service training and continuing education.
•Review daily activity logs, incident reports, medication administration records, and resident behavioral documentation for accuracy and completeness.
•Conduct regular safety checks and facility walkthroughs to maintain a secure, clean, and compliant living environment.
•Provide on-site leadership during critical incidents, coordinating staff response and ensuring proper notification and reporting protocols are followed.
•Ensure Behavioral Technicians consistently implement behavioral intervention plans as directed by the Qualified Professional.
•Participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours supervisory support as needed.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
•Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience in a residential child care, group home, or emergency shelter setting.
•Working knowledge of North Carolina residential child care licensing standards and NCDSS child welfare policies.
•Must pass a criminal background check, NC Sex Offender Registry check, NC Health Care Personnel Registry check, and Responsible Individuals List search.
•Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
•Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
