About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide therapy services to children and adolescents in Lake County, Illinois. This role focuses on delivering trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate care to support youth and families navigating emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. The ideal candidate is committed to client-centered care and creating a safe, supportive therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

·      Provide individual counseling to children and youth

·      Engage caregivers as appropriate in treatment

·      Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications

·      Active Illinois LPC license

·      Experience working with children and families

·      Training or interest in play therapy, trauma-focused CBT, or similar modalities preferred

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Training or experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT)
  • Familiarity with play therapy or child-centered approaches
  • Experience providing trauma-informed care
