Overview
The CADC Counselor provides substance use counseling to individuals navigating addiction, recovery, and co-occurring challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group substance use counseling
- Conduct client assessments and develop treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with internal programs, referral partners, and care teams
- Support clients in harm reduction, recovery planning, and relapse prevention
- Adhere to ethical, legal, and organizational standards
Qualifications
- Active CADC credential (Illinois)
- Experience in substance use treatment or co-occurring disorders preferred
- Knowledge of harm reduction and recovery models
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a contract-based role
