Job Summary: The IAM Specialist manages and implements robust security controls and practices, handling IT security-related objectives independently or through escalation. This role involves managing user identities, ensuring secure authentication, governing permissions, and overseeing the lifecycle of user accounts. The IAM Specialist also assists with risk and vulnerability management, contributes to SOC process development, and may assist with response to cybersecurity events. Supported by experienced IT specialists, this role is ideal for those with with existing cybersecurity expertise, looking to build more.


This job has US Pacific Time Zone work hours.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: 3+ years in information security, access administration, or related field OR bachelor’s degree in business/technology.
  • Skills: Critical thinking, problem-solving, experience with IAM solutions (e.g., Azure AD, Okta), security best practices, compliance knowledge, incident response, SIEM tools, scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python), documentation, risk assessment, security awareness training, customer service, communication, organization, collaboration, ethical judgment, stress management, detail-oriented, self-motivation, cultural sensitivity.
  • Optional Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH.

Salary

$67,122 - $85,825 per year
