The Rental Tech / Driver is a full-time Seasonal six month position in our Rochester rental house that will assist with our rental operations, inventory and orders between all of our locations in New York, which includes our shops in Rochester and Buffalo as well as our Syracuse satellite location. They will be working out of our Rochester location and responsible for day-to-day inventory and rental operations as assigned by their manager.  They will be required to learn how to pack trucks and vans, and operate those vehicles safely and efficiently.   This person will be responsible for delivering equipment orders to customers. To assist our internal operations and logistics, the driver will transfer equipment between our USNY locations  as well as driving to meet up halfway between our Philadelphia warehouses to transfer gear.    We are looking for a flexible team member who is comfortable with being assigned to any of our USNY locations on any given day and assist with executing any department initiatives, projects and improvements, whether physical infrastructure or procedural upgrades.

Customer Service

Customer Service is not the primary responsibility of this position, but our customers and relationships are very important to us. We are a small talented team and everyone at Expressway has a role interacting with our customers.  It is very important that all employees act as ambassadors of the brand whenever interacting with customers. 

Position Responsibilities 

• Collaborating with a strong tight knit team to fulfill Rentals across our Upstate NY region.
• Responsible for learning company software
• Assisting with pulling and returning orders, which includes physically checking gear in and out of the warehouse, as well as through our digital software. 
• Assisting with inputting any new gear into the system and inventorying into our warehouse.
• Research minute details of our equipment during downtime and advance your technical knowledge.
• Learn and eventually master our systems and protocols.
• Practices basic repair techniques for future minor repairs. 
• Executes Pickups / Deliveries. 
• Driving Vans and Trucks

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of and experience with professional cameras, camera accessories, lenses, and other production equipment is required.
•  Drivers License / Ability to Drive at least a 1-Ton Sprinter Van Required
•  Ability to stand for 8 Hour Periods
•  Ability to lift more than 25lbs
•  Excellent Communication Skill Required
•  Strong Customer Service Skills Preferred
•  Organizational and Multitasking Skills Required
•  Production Set Experience is a Plus (Especially in regards to Camera)
•  Experience in Flex Rental Solutions is a Plus
•  Rental House Experience is a Plus
