G&E Lead Rental Technician

Job Description:

Expressway is looking to add a proactive team leader and technical representative in our Grip and Electric department.  The Lead Rental Technician works under the supervision of the G&E Department Manager and as a close collaborator to our G&E Rental Agent. The G&E Lead Rental Technician is in charge of overseeing and ensuring quality control, safety and execution of our order processing, inventory tracking systems, warehouse organization.  This person must be a technical authority, be excited about contributing strategically and feel comfortable in a strong representative role to our production crews and clients.  They will be expected to contribute to our Crew and Customer relationships and account management.  They will be integral to maintaining and improving the staff culture and customer experience at our G&E facility.  This position is responsible for coordinating with Rental Agents, Managers and Owners to keep us all on track and focused on our mission to maintain a streamlined warehouse 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead technical representative when interacting with customers in the G&E facility and in the field. 
• Customer service and relationship building are core disciplines of the position.
• Expertise in Expressway's rental operations, inventory systems and software.
• Assist with training, orienting and directing new hires, day-players and staff brought on to help support.
• Find, create and implement department efficiencies and operational improvement processes.
• Lead our staff of G&E Techs in the following responsibilities.
• Maintenance, organization, and cleanliness of Expressway’s warehouse, parking lot, vehicles, and rental facilities. All equipment must be maintained and organized, both functionally and aesthetically
• Checking in returning orders and inspecting equipment thoroughly.
• Preparing and executing orders with extreme care and attention.
• Flex, barcoding and rental system strategy and implementation.
• Advancement of equipment and technical knowledge and understanding.
• Maintain quality control, condition and integrity of Expressway’s equipment inventory.
• RMA, shipping and receiving between Expressway offices, customers, vendors, and sub-rentals.
• Trucks and Driving: Drive and understand the functionality of all of Expressway’s vehicles.
• Develop and implement systems, schedules and protocols to efficiently maintain our fleet.
• Trucking, transportation, transferring and delivery logistics oversight and execution.
• On Set experience, etiquette, representation and expectations.
