Job title: Business Development and Fundraising intern

Employment type: Internship, W2, Authorized to work in the United States required

Job location:  Remote, no travel

Weekly hours: Up to 32 hours/wk (Cynuria core hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm EST)

Compensation:  Unpaid  (August 31 – December 4, 2026) - This role offers the potential to transition into a paid position for those who consistently meet or exceed performance.

Key responsibilities

Under the supervision of our Executive team:

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive intelligence to identify new growth opportunities, emerging trends, and strategic partnership avenues within the human capital, learning, and HR tech landscape across commercial, nonprofit, and federal sectors.
  • Contribute to the strategic refinement of Cynuria's overall value proposition, go-to-market strategies, and thought leadership positioning to enhance market resonance and differentiation.
  • Research and support preparation activities for potential investors (Angels, VCs) and strategic partners who align with our mission.


Project-specific responsibilities may include:

  • CRM management: Support the team in managing contacts, tracking leads, and updating client information in our CRM to ensure organized and accurate data, including managing workflow automations that leverage different AI models for enhanced efficiency.
  • Investor & portfolio support: Prepare materials for investor updates, developing and refining Cynuria business models, go-to-market strategies, and pitch materials.


You add the following required skills and experience to our team:

  • Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems through quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Strong interest in the technology startup ecosystem
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to remain resilient and positive as priorities shift
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and LLMs   
  • Prior experience or coursework in sales, digital marketing, or financial analysis
  • Ability to apply research and data analysis skills to uncover key trends and generate actionable insights
