Speech Language Pathologists are responsible for IEP management and assessments in their assigned geographic area.

Expatiate Communications is a management consulting firm focussed on special education. We work with State, Local and Federal agencies to provides strategical special education support and services across full spectrum of special education.

Speech Pathologists in the position of compliance officers typically work either in our corporate office or at one of our program locations to either directly or indirectly support special education program goals and objectives.

The SLP Assessors' responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting speech and language evaluations/screenings for school aged children referred for special education program.


  • JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
  • Assess communication skills of the assigned population.
  • Develop individual speech and language programs based upon assessment results
  • Participate in the eligibility and planning required for development of the IEP when a communication disorder is present.
  • Maintain records as required.
  • Travel to multiple sites within Los Angeles County may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A California credential authorizing service for Speech-Language Pathology Services AND
  • A California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST) OR
  • A valid license / RPE issued from Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board, California.
  • A valid California driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites is required

NOTES:

Multiple positions are available. Visa sponsorship may be available for this position. Travel to various sites within the assigned region is required.

$74,381 - $139,351 per year
