We're seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Assessor. In this position, you'll be instrumental in conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations, developing individualized education programs (IEPs), and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive the necessary support.

Responsibilities: 


  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to evaluate communication skills of students. 
  • Administer and interpret standardized assessments.
  • Develop individualized speech and language programs based on assessment results. 
  • Participate in eligibility and planning meetings required for the development of IEPs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, para-educators, and parents to implement speech and language programs. 
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments. 
  • Provide consultative services to parents, teachers, and other school personnel. 
  • Conduct speech and language therapy programs for selected students. 
  • Provide teacher in-service programs and parent workshops related to communication skills development. 
  • Establish home training programs for students.
  • Travel to multiple locations within Los Angeles County as required. 


Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements:


  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. 
  • Valid California SLP License / CTC Credential or eligibility for a state waiver
  • Experience conducting speech and language assessments in a school or clinical setting. 
  • Knowledge of IEP development and special education regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Ability to reliably commute between multiple locations in Los Angeles County. 
  • Other job duties may be assigned.

Salary

$50 - $85 per hour
