Description

The Educational Systems Manager performs critical student data support activities in special education systems, CALPADS and iTAAP. This role requires intricate knowledge of IDEA CFR 300, title 5 California Code of Regulations and CA state data systems such as CALPADS, CBEDS, SECMS, reporting timelines and associated functions. Previous experience with various Student Information Systems, SPED and testing platforms is highly desirable along with LEA compliance requirements as stated in SPP or local indicators. 

Responsibilities:

Data Support and Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and provide expert guidance on student data support activities for CALPADS, MTSS, and iTAAP.
  • Facilitate the integration and utilization of iTAAP across educational settings, supporting user training and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review data trends, recommend adjustments, and advise educators and administrators on effective data utilization strategies.
  • Develop and implement procedural guidelines for data management and reporting, ensuring compliance and accuracy across multiple LEAs.
  • Support the implementation of data-driven Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) initiatives, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance educational outcomes.


Program Development and Implementation:

  • Plan, develop, and implement program activities that align with educational goals and compliance standards.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate instructional and academic programs, leveraging data insights to tailor interventions and improve student outcomes.
  • Evaluate requests from school agencies for new or enhanced programs and services, providing data-driven recommendations and supporting implementation efforts.
  • Edit and refine field support materials to streamline instructional delivery and enhance accessibility for educators and stakeholders.


Professional Development and Training:

  • Design and deliver professional development sessions and in-service training to equip educators with essential data management skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct training workshops, conferences, and in-services, focusing on data-driven decision-making and leveraging technology to support educational excellence.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and external consultants on program-specific initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and educational standards.


Community and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as a liaison with support personnel, government agencies, and community organizations to coordinate data-related services and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Create and distribute informative materials such as brochures and surveys to enhance understanding and promote engagement with educational initiatives at local, state, and national levels.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Chair or participate in committees to facilitate discussions on data utilization and program effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance to educators and administrators on effective data management practices and compliance requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of educational data management and technology integration efforts.

Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements:


  • Must be legally eligible to work in California
  • A multiple subject teaching or an educational specialist¬† credential desirable
  • Previous experience with new product development is desirable.
  • Degree in Education, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, particularly within an educational setting, is highly desirable.
  • Administrative credential highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in compliance, data collection, reporting, and corrections within public school districts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) with advanced knowledge of PowerPoint & Google Workspace.


Salary

$75,000 - $111,000 per year
