Position Details
Listed as Account Supervisor to align with commonly used terminology, this role is titled Strategic Account Manager at Exfluential. In this role, you'll bring strong experience in account strategy and management, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration in an integrated team environment.
You'll take a proactive lead in managing projects and coordinating internal partners (media buyer, designer, developer, customer success manager, etc.). You'll translate client feedback into clear direction and actionable steps to help the team stay aligned and navigate evolving priorities.
With a solid understanding of digital advertising and marketing technologies, you'll lead client calls with confidence, bringing proactive strategies and identifying opportunities that drive high-impact results.
Client Partnership
- Strategic Program Guidance: Partner with clients to turn ideas into structured, executable co-op campaigns and DTC marketing programs. Helping to guide decision-making with clarity while setting realistic expectations and clear goals.
- Services & Platform Alignment: Partner closely with the client’s dedicated Customer Success Manager (CSM) to deliver best-in-class, seamless client management. While the CSM owns technical platform implementation and tech support, you lead digital media and marketing needs, working in lockstep to ensure a unified front.
- Account Health & Retention: Track key account health indicators, anticipate client needs, and mitigate churn risks. Lead Executive Business Reviews (EBRs), with the support of leadership, to showcase program ROIs and protect long-term account retention.
- Account Expansion: Uncover and activate growth opportunities by analyzing performance metrics and identifying unmet marketing needs. Serve as the lead driver for account scaling, guiding clients through budget expansions and new initiatives as performance builds.
Execution, Delivery & Internal Management
- Media Strategy & Optimization: Partner closely with your media buyer partner to shape multi-channel digital strategies across Meta, Google, and emerging channels. While the media buyer handles hands-on campaign execution, you own the client-facing strategy and narrative. You'll leverage performance data to lead strategic discussions, showcase ROI, influence broader marketing direction, and identify opportunities for clients to reinvest and scale.
- Cross-Functional Project Management: Serve as the central connector and project lead between clients and our team. You excel at managing project plans, tracking timelines, and making sure internal and external teams move in lockstep from design to development, client approvals, and reporting.
- Technical & Marketing Liaison: Leverage a solid understanding of digital marketing principles and web tech concepts, like landing pages, web forms, lead passing, UTM tracking, and email automation, to run client calls with confidence and simplify complex topics without needing to execute the build yourself.
Who You Are
- Experience: 4+ years in a digital media or agency environment, specifically in account management, client strategy, and digital campaign management.
- Adaptable & Proactive: You're comfortable in a high-growth environment, adapt quickly to evolving priorities, and proactively anticipate what's needed to keep accounts and projects moving forward.
- Detail-Oriented Implementer: You bring high precision to every stage of a project. Upfront, you gather complete requirements, so internal teams have what they need to execute smoothly. Throughout the process, you review design deliverables, UTM links, and client presentations to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
- Strategic Messaging & Creative Eye: While clients supply most ad assets, you bring a strong eye for what works in digital marketing. You ensure client creative aligns with campaign objectives, step in with messaging polish when needed, and craft clear narratives for client presentations and reports.
- High-Empathy Orchestrator: You read the room, understand different team dynamics, and take pride in keeping clients and internal teammates working toward the same goal.
- Clear & Methodical Communicator: You know how to simplify complex information and tailor communications for different audiences. You understand that clear, thoughtful communication is critical to building strong relationships and keeping everyone aligned.
- Curious & Tech-Fluent: You’re naturally curious about digital marketing and web tech. You’re comfortable navigating routine questions independently and know when to pull in subject matter experts for deeper dives.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed for key client meetings and relationship-building.
