Position Overview:

We are seeking a Part-Time HR Consultant to support our clients with various human resources functions. This role is ideal for an experienced (Generalist) HR professional looking for a flexible work arrangement while making a meaningful impact. The HR Consultant will provide expert guidance on compliance, employee relations, policies, and other HR needs tailored to each client’s business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR advisory services to clients, ensuring compliance with state and federal labor laws.
  • Assist with employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Support hiring and onboarding processes, including job postings, candidate screening, and orientation.
  • Develop and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and procedures in alignment with best practices.
  • Oversee benefits administration, leave of absence management, and payroll coordination as needed.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Facilitate training sessions and employee development programs.
  • Perform HR audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Offer guidance on compensation, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Support clients with HR technology and process improvements.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of HR experience in a generalist, consultant, or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and HR projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with HR software and tools is a plus.
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
